Introducing the ‘First 24′ Session – Albuquerque NM Newborn Photographer

I’m guessing you’re saying to yourself, “What in the heck is a ‘First 24′ session?”. Well… here’s the details!

Last year, while I was still pregnant with my son, an idea started brewing. How awesome would it be to have some of those first days of my son’s life, in the hospital, captured for me? How awesome would it be to capture it for others? Real, completely raw, mommies rumpled and tired from labor, daddies tired from lack of sleep and their wives or girlfriends cursing at the for the past 24 hours…new grandparents holding their first grandbaby, hospital bands still on, those stripped little hats securely on little round heads, peeling skin and sleepy, sleepy wrinkled babies. Sounds like magic, doesn’t it?

My idea was born – a session to capture your newest family member, your entire family together, interacting naturally with each other at the place of your babies’ birth. Whether you have a home birth, a hospital birth or one in a birthing center, THAT is where this session will take place. Within the first 24 hours of your childs’ life is the only requirement… nothing else. No clothing decisions to be made, no hairstyling necessary, no prep. Just book me ahead of time and drop me a call or email once you’re headed to have this baby and when they’ve finally arrived, and I’ll make my way to you.

While I was in the hospital with my son (4 days with a c-section), I didn’t have the opportunity to have someone else capture a few moments for me… but I wanted them so badly. So… perfectly timed between a pain pill and a restroom trip, I captured a little slice of this time for me. My little guy and I. And I want to do it for you, too.

Now, I’m sure you’re wanting examples. And trust me…these images will pull at you. Nothing gets people quite like newborns.
